Dudley Brown
President
Dudley Brown is the founder and longtime leader of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, Colorado’s only no-compromise gun rights organization. With over three decades of experience in political activism—and more than 30 years as a professional gun lobbyist—Dudley has spent his career relentlessly defending the Second Amendment at every level of government.
Since founding RMGO in 1996, Dudley has built the organization into one of the most effective and feared state-level gun rights groups in the country. Under his leadership, RMGO has grown from a small, hard-hitting grassroots network into a political powerhouse known for primarying weak-kneed Republicans and stopping gun control dead in its tracks. Even in a state trending blue, Dudley and RMGO have been a thorn in the side of anti-gun politicians, consistently mobilizing thousands of pro-gun Coloradans to stand against infringements on their rights.
RMGO has not only exposed backroom deals and corrupt politicians but has also racked up significant legal victories, taking gun control laws to court—and winning. Dudley’s no-compromise approach has earned RMGO a national reputation and inspired similar state groups across the country.
Beyond Colorado, Dudley was named CEO of the National Association for Gun Rights in 2007, where he has grown the group into the second-largest gun rights organization in America. As both a firearms instructor and competitive shooter, Dudley is recognized as one of the leading experts on firearms law and legislation in the United States.
He has been quoted or featured in nearly every major media outlet, and his popular YouTube series, Dudley’s Range Rogues, reaches thousands of gun owners each week. Most impressively, Dudley was featured in 5280’s “The Most Powerful People in Denver.”
Dudley lives in Northern Colorado, proudly behind enemy lines—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
