Comprehensive background checks have not affected California’s homicide and suicide rates over the past decade, a new study has found.
UC Davis Health reports:
A study of firearm homicide and suicide rates in the 10 years after California simultaneously mandated comprehensive background checks for nearly all firearm sales and a prohibition on gun purchase and possession for persons convicted of most violent misdemeanor crimes found no change in the rates of either cause of death from firearms through 2000.
The battle raging in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to defend our constitutional rights cannot be ignored.
Turning over the private donor information of every NAGR member like you would give anti-gunners like Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi an edge that we simply cannot afford as we head into the new Congress.
Allowing the anti-gunners to whittle away our Second Amendment rights using the court system only leads to DISASTER.
That is why the National Foundation for Gun Rights strategically apply the same take-no-prisoners approach that has made NAGR so successful. With your help, the National Foundation for Gun Rights is working to solidify and expand our existing gun rights by:
··· Enforcing and expanding pro-gun precedents issued by the courts -- The National Foundation for Gun Rights is picking the right cases to be a major force in the battle for our gun rights;
··· Defending gun owners free of charge – Select gun owners who have had their rights violated by bureaucrats or law enforcement must be protected;
··· Standing up for the Second Amendment -- Rather than attempting to curry favor with anti-gun judges, the National Foundation for Gun Rights will make an unwavering, uncompromising defense of the Second Amendment.
You see, there are already dozens of cases out there the National Foundation for Gun Rights is preparing to take on. But with Nancy Pelosi and her anti-gun cronies preparing to take over Congress in 2019, I don’t think we can afford to sit back on our hands and wait.
If you and I want to make sure our Second Amendment isn’t “redefined” out of existence by the courts, we must start fighting back now.
Of course, I’m going to have to depend on your generous financial support to make it happen.
Defending gun owners and their rights is our top priority and if we are going to continue getting involved in crucial gun rights cases like the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. City of New York or Young V. Hawaii, we must step up now.
That’s why we need your immediate support. And the good news is every dollar you donate to the National Foundation for Gun Rights is tax-deductible.
So can I count on you for an IMMEDIATE tax-deductible contribution?
We simply can’t leave our court system in the hands of gun-grabbing bureaucrats and those who would compromise away our gun rights with half-hearted defenses.
