RMGO ANNOUNCES PAC PROGRAM TO RETIRE COLORADO GUN GRABBERS
WINDSOR, COLO. – April 2, 2013 – In response to Governor John Hickenlooper (D-Colorado) signing anti-gun House Bills 1224, 1228, and 1229 into law recently, Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO) Executive Director Dudley Brown announced plans for RMGO Political Action Committee’s program for the 2014 elections to Retire the Colorado Gun-Grabbers.
Over the past few months, as these extreme pieces of legislation were being debated, tens of thousands of Coloradans voiced their staunch opposition to these measures. Colorado Democrats in both the House and Senate casually disregarded the wisdom and Constitutional rights of their constituents, and rammed these bills through the legislature. Now, Governor Hickenlooper, who has previously stated that “we need to recognize that we can’t allow people that are aberrations of nature to take away the joys and freedoms that we enjoy,” has signed these gun-grabbing bills that turn law-abiding Colorado Gun Owners into criminals.
“Colorado Democrats have willfully and shamefully ignored the advice of thousands of Coloradans and law-abiding gun owners, who have adamantly said ‘no’ to Mayor Bloomberg’s radical gun grab agenda, by passing these draconian bills,” Brown said. “Therefore, we are announcing RMGO PAC’s program for the 2014 elections to Retire the Colorado Gun-Grabbers. Make no mistake, RMGO’s goal is to elect a pro-gun majority in the Colorado House & Senate so this kind of treachery never happens again.”
RMGO PAC’s first round of targeted districts include Senator Jeanne Nicholson (D-16, Blackhawk), Senator Angela Giron (D-3, Pueblo), and Representative Mike McLachlan (D-59, Durango). RMGO PAC will be announcing more targeted districts in the coming weeks and months leading up to next year’s elections.
With tens of thousands of members and supporters, RMGO is Colorado’s largest state based gun lobby, and is the only no compromise gun rights group committed solely to defending Coloradans’ 2nd Amendment Constitutional rights. For more information, please visit www.rmgo.org and rmgopac.org.
