Constitutional Carry is the simple idea that law-abiding people shouldn’t be forced to get a government permission slip to exercise their right to self-defense. No one should be treated like a criminal simply for wishing to carry a firearm in defense of themselves or their family.

RMGO strongly believes that Constitutional Carry is the way our founders intended for citizens to exercise their constitutionally protected right to bear arms.

Dudley Brown is the President of Rocky Mountain Gun Owner’s, and serves under a volunteer board and chairman. 

Brown attended Colorado State University, where he was chairman and founder of the CSU College Republicans, and subsequently two-term State Chairman of the College Republicans of Colorado.

Brown served as Northern Colorado Director for U.S. Senator Bill Armstrong. In 1990 Brown left retiring Armstrong’s staff to become the Media Director for the Colorado House of Representatives’ Republican Caucus. In 1992, Brown left the legislature to become the deputy campaign manager for an unsuccessful Republican congressional campaign in Colorado’s 2nd District.

In 1993, Brown became Legislative Director of the Firearms Coalition of Colorado and contract lobbyist for the Colorado State Shooting Association (the NRA state affiliate). Brown also served as the state chairman of the Colorado Conservative Union, a group that rated Colorado legislators.

In 1996 Brown founded Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, a no-compromise gun rights lobby concentrating on Colorado, which operates independently of other gun rights organizations.

Dudley Brown is a certified firearms instructor, and an avid shooter. He is the only professional lobbyist to endure the 9-year battle for a “shall issue” concealed carry law in Colorado.

Brown now also serves as President of the National Association for Gun Rights.

Taylor D. Rhodes is Rocky Mountain Gun Owners’ Executive Director and serves under a volunteer board. He handles all executive decision-making and lobbying concerns for RMGO, Colorado’s largest gun rights organization. Taylor brings RMGO a record of exceptional leadership and a strategic vision for winning campaigns, building grassroots organizations, and effectively influencing elected officials.  
 
A Fairfax, VA native, Taylor earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. While at Southern Miss, he founded USM’s College Republican Chapter, served as State Treasurer for the Mississippi Federation of College Republicans, and was heavily involved in Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc.
 
Taylor then founded his political consulting firm in 2014, Rhodes Consulting, LLC. Since the start of his firm, he has run, managed, and advised political campaigns, advocacy groups, and PACs, from municipal level elections to presidential races. After Taylor joined RMGO in 2018, he has worked tirelessly to restore Colorado’s individual liberties by using non-traditional, no-compromise lobbying tactics that many others at the Capitol simply don’t have the guts to use. 
 
Using bold tactics, Taylor has gained nationwide recognition and continues to put RMGO at the forefront of Colorado politics.
 
Additionally, Taylor has earned a Master’s degree from Liberty University, specializing in Marketing and Public Relations. Taylor enjoys Colorado Rockies baseball, collecting firearms, drinking fine Kentucky Bourbon, and bringing political pain to politicians.

Taylor’s favorite firearm is his Geissele Automatics Super Duty Rifle, 14.5″, 5.56mm.
